My Very Own Space Invaders Sweater!

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

This post is a bit overdue, but I just got around to taking a photo to go with it.
A while ago, I posted about how much I wanted the Space Invaders sweater from the Gudbrandsdalsost ad campaign.  Back before Christmas, when we were exploring the Christmas market at the Folk Museum, there was a stall [...]

We spent a while at Windance trying their excellent reds and chatting with the owners.  “Bling Bling Shiraz” [...]

International Zombie News

Friday, January 16th, 2009

Because my friend Shane may or may not believe in zombies, I thought I’d offer him a tribute post with a few relevant international news items…
First, since Sundance opened yesterday, I thought it right to mention Norway’s own offering, of which I’m eager to find a subtitled screening:

According to a film poster I’ve seen around [...]

As American as Fortune Cookies

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

We’ve been back from San Francisco for two weeks, and I’ve finally gotten the chance to post something!  A technical glitch with my blog, followed by a poor attempt to fix the problem by upgrading the software meant that I haven’t even been able to post for a while.  (And I was stuck with that [...]
