Geeky Halloween Pumpkins
In honor of Halloween (my favorite-because-it’s-so-ridiculous holiday), I’ve been saving a few links for completely geeky jack-o-lanterns.
Aside from the usual assortment of Pacman pumpkins and game console logos, these two rather stood out for me:

A sackboy from Little Big Planet! How adorable!
(Explanation for non-geeks: Little Big Planet is one of the most awesome and unique games to come out in the past few years. It’s also extraordinarily cute.)

The “Red Ring of Death!” How scary!
(Explanation for non-geeks: When it first came out the XBox 360 had a very common manufacturing defect that caused a huge number of the machines to completely stop functioning The failure is indicated by three red lights known commonly as the “Red Ring of Death.”)
This comes on the heels of the site’s very-impressive list last year of
This list includes some fun Star Wars pumpkins, like these Death Star and R2D2 pumpkins:

It also had some artistically impressive film homages:
And a few geeky Jack-O-Lanterns that weren’t even made from pumpkins:

Mac-O-Lanterns made from old Mac computers
And if you still need inspiration for your own pumpkin, check out this site, which has a collection of carving patterns for all of the past presidents. Because you probably need a pattern if you’re going for a truly recognizable Millard Fillmore pumpkin:
